Sanctuary Tails of Transformation Contest

 

Farm Sanctuary’s New York and California Shelters are unique places where visitors not only get to meet farm animals face to face for the first time, but also get to know them as the sensitive, social individuals they truly are. Through their stories of survival and healing, these animal ambassadors have a very special way of reaching and teaching people: After a chicken who was once confined to a crowded cage joyfully bounds up to them, a pig once bound for slaughter cheerfully beckons to them from across the barn, or a turkey who once lived behind the closed doors of a factory farm falls asleep in their laps, many of our visitors’ lives are forever changed.
