Animal Photo of the Week: Juno and Belle

Here’s a cute Animal Photo of the Week entry to melt your heart: mother Juno and daughter Belle pausing for a snuggle. Rescued from a situation of severe neglect, Juno and 4 other female goats in late term pregnancy came to our New York Shelter in March, and safely delivered their babies despite their own health issues with the help of our caregiving staff. The second to give birth, Juno brought little Belle and her twin brother Sebastian into the world and they’ve been a little family ever since. After a great start to a life of freedom, Belle and Sebastian, along with their mother, will soon be on their way to Texas, where loving Farm Animal Adoption Network adopters are anxiously awaiting their arrival. We’ll sure miss these sweet goats, but we’re happy to see them find their way to a home of their very own!
