The first time we met Coco, the mere sight of her broke our hearts. Found tethered by her neck on a property in California, the severely neglected 5-year-old goat was emaciated and plagued by parasites and infection. Grossly overgrown hooves and a painful case of mastitis made every step a struggle. But thanks to the support of Farm Sanctuary members and the vigilant care of our shelter caregivers, Coco’s life has since made a complete turn. No longer suffering and fully healed from her ordeal, Coco finally has the life she was always meant to live. See more of Coco’s inspiring story in our newest video!

If only every case could be discovered and end this way. I hope to live to see a world where cruelty isn't tolerated, on any level, anywhere. I doubt it, but hope none the less.
