No, that’s not a camera trick – Lily really is flying through the air! One of the more recent additions to the Farm Sanctuary family, Lily has quickly become one of the most talked about animals on the farm. Originally purchased from a breeder, Lily was en route to the slaughterhouse when the man who bought her had a change of heart and called Farm Sanctuary instead.
Lily has struggled with various health issues, but nothing stops her from being a fireball of energy! Quite the character, she enjoys everything from typical goat activities (including bucking around in the grass outside) to endearing displays of affection (like snuggling with visitors and nibbling on their fingers) to incredibly mischievous troublemaking (such as trying to escape from her pasture to greet a passing tour). There is never a dull moment with Lily around!
P.S. – This incredibly cool photo was taken by two of our talented interns, Kevin Weil and Angie Carreiro. Thanks for sharing, guys!
Oh, I was just at the Watkins Glen Farm Sanctuary! My friend and I were part of the work party... what an amazing experience ;-) I even wrote about it on my blog: http://sweetsensitivity.blogspot.com/2010/06/farm-sanctuary-saturday.html

I have always been fond of goats, they truly have personality and are so cute! Anyone that has never known one can not guess what they are missing!
