Animal Photo of the Week: Rufus

 

The man who allowed Rufus and dozens of other sick and injured farm animals to languish amid shotgun casings, car parts and wires had likely bought them from a stockyard with the intention of later reselling them for meat. San Diego Animal Control, however, discovered and confiscated the animals, and we welcomed many of them to our California Shelter. Safe at Farm Sanctuary, Rufus, the stately subject of our Animal Photo of the Week, has since overcome the neglect that darkened his past and found his rightful place as the leader of our resident goat herd.

This picture reminds me of the comic artist Steve larson i think his name is. One of his comics showed cows standing up drinking beer in the pasture with a 'look out cow" . The look out cow said "car' and then the beer drinking cows resumed to grazing cows positions. ;o))
